Travel season is still upon us, with many people choosing to travel later into the summer or even early fall. In most areas of the country, the weather is delightful with warm days and cooler nights, so traveling and outdoor activities are more pleasant now than during the dog-days of summer!
Walking Cradles shoes are known for their great fit and unbeatable comfort, thanks to the expert styling and attention to detail by our shoe designer, Jamie Wells. Whether it's the multiple sizes and widths, our signature Tiny Pillows insoles or the clever ways Jamie finds to add adjustability, women are passionate about their favorite Walking Cradles styles!
In an informal poll, we received feedback on the various types of travel that our customers enjoy and then asked which Walking Cradles shoes they would choose for each! Below are the shoes that were selected, with a little built-in fun for each. The heading is a line to a song that relates to the picture. Have fun guessing who sang the song and where each destination photo is located. (Answers are at the end of this article). Each shoe is linked so you can easily click and shop! If you've been playing along, here are the answers to the songs and the locations!
1: "They say the neon lights are bright..." is from the George Benson song On Broadway, which is also the colorful New York City theater district area in the photo.
2: "I'm walking on sunshine, wooah..." is from the catchy summery song Walking on Sunshine from Katrina and the Waves. This midwest lakeside pool party was held at Lake St. Louis, in St. Louis, MO.
3: "I want to get away, I wanna fly away..." is part of the song Fly Away by Lenny Kravitz. The airport is O'Hare International in Chicago, IL.
4. "Every girl needs a good friend and a glass of wine." We totally agree with LeAnn Rhimes in this lyric from her song Good Friends and a Glass of Wine. Famous for rolling hills of vineyards, this photo is from Napa Valley, CA where there are more than 400 wineries to visit!
5. "Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks." Synonymous with baseball, the song Take Me Out to the Ballgame has been part of stadium music everywhere since it was introduced in 1909 by Jack Norworth and Albert Von Tilzer. Not long after this song was written, the oldest (still in use) baseball stadium in the United States hosted its first ballgame in 1912 at Fenway Park in Boston, MA.
6. "I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky." How can you not think of John Denver when you think of Colorado and his song Rocky Mountain High, which was released almost 50 years ago on October 30, 1972. When music fans think of Colorado, we think of Red Rocks Ampitheatre, where Denver performed 17 concerts prior to his death in 1997.
7. "Trees swaying in the summer breeze... soft kisses on a summer day" are lyrics from the 1964 A Summer Song by English pop duo Chad & Jeremy. The trees pictured here line the walkways at historic Forsyth Park in downtown Savannah, GA - named one of the top parks in the country to enjoy a picnic!
We hope you have enjoyed this feature and played along with the game. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
